THE ENVIRONMENT

The cultivation area of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene was shaped by the Piave Glacier with its lateral offshoots and by the subsequent torrential streams. There are therefore numerous hills of morainal origin in of the form of amphitheatres and alluvial terraces and cones. Soil is not homogenous in the all territory, however it is characterize by argillaceous lands and by high calcium carbonate content.
