THE
"PROSECCO DI VALDOBBIADENE SUPERIORE DI
CARTIZZE"
A particular type of Prosecco, is that which
is made in the "Cartizze" zone. This
zone is 106 hectares of vineyard among S.Pietro
di Barbozza, Santo Stefano and Saccol hills,
in the community of Valdobbiadene.
The Cartizze zone has a gentle microclimate
and very ancient terrain coming from rising
sea beds.
FEATURES
GRAPES:
must come from vineyards of the area delimited
by law.
VARIETIES:
only Prosecco and Verdiso (10%) grapes are
currently allowed.
VINIFICATION:
only Prosecco and Verdiso (10%) grapes are
currently allowed.
BOTTLING AND SPARKLING WINE PROCESS:
may be carried out only in wineries within
the province of Treviso.
MARKETING:
before bottling, each batch of wine must pass
an organolectic examination from the Chamber
of Commerce.
